Cellar Rats Autumn Wine Festival 2016
The Cellar Rats Autumn Wine Festival, previously known as the Port Red and Wine Festival, will be making its return to Magaliesburg at the large country estate, The Old Mill. Vino-lovers should not miss out on the one-day only event which is happening on 29 May 2016.
Attendees can look forward to a showcasing of over 600 varietals of wine by 100 expert wine producers. All of this can be enjoyed on the banks of the Magaliesburg River, with expansive views that overlook the sprawling, green hills.
While you relax and enjoy your wine-drinking, your children can zap their untapped energy supplies at the designated play area. For a nominal fee, qualified childminders will keep your kids duly entertained and safe from any hazards.
There will be a food and refreshments available on site for the hungry and thirsty. If you're looking to swap up your Shiraz blends and Merlot varietals for some craft beers, these cold brews are the ultimate 'palate cleansing ales'.
As this is a day of family entertainment out in the sun, please be advised to bring a couple of chairs, umbrellas, gazebos, blankets and more important, dollops of sunblock. If you've got well-behaved, four-legged family members, bring them along. Please note, however, they must be kept on a leash at all times so as to not disturb other festival-goers.
With a large proportion of funds raised going to various charities in Magaliesburg, all food and drink must be purchased on site and not be brought in from the outside. To prevent drinking and driving, designated drivers will be let in for free of charge. The gates will be opened at 11 am and close again at 3 pm.
